Active Track was founded in response to the demand for a rugged guard-monitoring device which could bolster the security of the persons and property, as well as the safety of the security official deployed to offer the required protection. This took place amid a spike in crime in South Africa.

Since inception, Active Track has expanded its product range to include not only the Active Track, but also the FPX10: a mobile and tamper-proof biometric and RFID scanner.

Active Track

The Active Track is an extremely cost-effective, revolutionary device, offering real-time monitoring and two-way communication with the user’s security guards/or personnel.

Designed as a user-friendly, tamper-proof, shock-proof and waterproof device, the Active Track can withstand the harsh conditions of all labour-intensive industries.

Its RFID, GPS and GSM functionalities, duress button, panic point settings, silent call function and support via a live web interface and 24-hour call centre, ensure that the user’s guard/or employee is awake, carrying out all patrols/or duties correctly, and assisted in emergencies.

The FPX10 is a GPS and GSM-enabled mobile and cost-efficient system engineered to monitor time, attendance and whereabouts of employees, as well as the movement and whereabouts of assets, in real-time.

The FPX10 has vastly improved and extended biometric capabilities. This is evident from its mobile nature, owing to an extended battery life, an accurate 21-point fingerprint and RFID card scanner, its easy configuration to specific site requirements, its robust design, tamper-proof properties and pre-programmed stay-awake and emergency panic functions.

In addition, the functionality and data can be controlled remotely, via the Active View online portal, and effortlessly integrated into almost any payroll management system.

The result of implementing an FPX10 device is improved control over one’s workforce, a reduction in unwanted overtime, the elimination of ghost employees, and only having to pay for hours worked.
